Cruise Programme

Hi everybody,

I hope 2019 is going to be as good a sunny year as it was with 2018.

I’ve been asked to take over the Cruise Leaders job from Kevin, who has taken a well earned rest, and would like to start with 4 cruises for 2019. These will be to encourage new members to get into the ‘cruising in company’ world and help them to enjoy mixing with the regular cruising members. I have therefore kept them fairly local. I hope you will all join us and make the ‘cruising in company’ the continuing success that Kevin has spent so much time building up.

Easter ‘Meander up the Medina’  Shepherds Wharf 19th – 22nd April 2019

Our eggciting first cruise of the season will be to the Medina river just up from Cowes, giving us the perfect opportunity to explore this well known yachting venue for the weekend before returning home on the Monday. We will be in a confined space but there will be plenty of hands to help us all in.

MayDay Madness @ Portland Marina 4th – 6th May 2019

As one of the newest marinas on the south coast, we thought it would be a good idea to pay Portland another visit. Heading west gives us a chance to take in the spectacular scenery and iconic landmarks of the Jurassic Coast! Our two night stay will give you a chance to explore Chesil Beach and the Isle of Portland.

Whitsun Holiday Cruise to Port Solent & Port Hamble 25th May – 1st June 2019

A whole week to explore east up the Solent and to the far corner of Portsmouth Harbour to Port Solent, for a two night stay at this well appointed marina where you can eat, drink, shop or just unwind!

Then it’s a short hop back to the River Hamble for a four night visit to Port Hamble. This busy marina in the heart of the South Coast is a favourite for many. Great for a scenic trip up the river in the dinghy to Swanwick and beyond. The picturesque Hamble Village, with its inviting pubs and restaurants, is only a few minutes walk away.

Wayfearers go West to Weymouth 24th – 26th August 2019

Weymouth still proves to be the most popular of our cruise destinations, marking the end of our Association cruising season. This small and friendly marina is a summer holiday destination for many, with its shops, bars and restaurants within a few minutes walk. With limited space here, booking early is essential as this is often the first cruise to get full.
